Chris and Lydia Yeung moved to Nanning, China from the United Sates, and founded Silver Lining to help and provide job opportunities for the disabled youth.
2007

“Silver Lining Missions Limited” based in Hong Kong, and “Silver Lining Workshop” in Nanning were officially established.
2008

Emergency medical funds were set up to provide timely assistance for children with emergency needs.
2009

Officially registered as a non-profit organization in Hong Kong.

Began to look into the situation in the mountain regions as well as the different needs that needed to be met.

Established an orphanage in Da Hua.

“Silver Lining Caring Center”, the orphanage based in Da Hua, received its first group of orphans. Began a support system to meet the needs of impoverished students located in the mountainous areas.
2011

Established Silver Lining rehabilitation center in Nanning, and began to provide "conducive learning” for children with cerebral palsy.
2012

Nanning Cerebral Palsy Rehabilitation Center expanded.

Silver Lining initiated a community orphan support project to sponsor orphans.

Launched special education classes in Nanning rehabilitation center.

Established a children center which provides services for left-behind children as well as children with other needs in Da Hua.

Nanning Rehabilitation Center opened a daycare service for children with severe cerebral palsy.

“The Wonders of Reading Initiative Program” launched in the United States where volunteers visit children’s hospitals to instill hope within volunteers and children, using reading as a medium.
2016

Participated in the “International Conductive Education Guidance Conference” held in Hungary, sharing our background and experiences with conductive education.
2017

Dahua Caring Center was relocated and changed its name to “Family Village”.

In April, steps were made to open an orphanage, “Silver Lining Family Village” in Pwin OO Lwin, Myanmar.

Preparations began to open several schools in the following areas: Nan Weng, Nan Zhan, Lashio, Nong Man, and Dang Yang.

Another rehabilitation center, called “Eden Center”, was opened in Yangon, Myanmar for cerebral palsy children.
2018

“Family Village” moved location and began construction in Pyin OO Lwin, Mandalay, Myanmar.

Construction started for “Myanmar Silver Lining HaoEn School”.

Trained a local team in Hanoi, Vietnam to provide services for children with cerebral palsy in Vietnam.
2019

The Silver Lining rehabilitation center in Hanoi, Vietnam successfully opened. Its guided rehabilitation education project for children with cerebral palsy started.

Yangon’s student center was established in Yangon, Myanmar.

Guangxi Youth Space was established in Dahua.
